The owners Richard & Ruth are the perfect hosts. They made us feel very welcome. The cottage is like a real home from home being equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Excellent base to visit many attractions within 30 miles of the property. Ideal also if you are keen golfers with the 9 hole par 3 golf course available for use. The cottage was extremely spacious and was well equipped. Owners were very helpful.

Exceellent cottage, warm and friendly welcome. Cottage fully equipped with everything you need. Location is fantastic for visiting the coast and city of York. Golf course and grassed area is great for family activities. We will go again.

Birdie Cottage was immaculate throughout, supplying every possible amenity to hand. The location couldn't be better for exploring North Yorkshire. The owner (Richard) was very friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure your stay was as enjoyable as possible. For those who are golf enthusiasts, the 9 hole golf course is well tended and impeccable, almost making me wish I played golf. All in all I would recommend "Birdie Cottage" as a great base to come home to after a long day exploring North Yorkshire.

The cottage was only half an hour walk into Pickering and along a footpath, we went for the war weekend and it was lovely. The pub across the road do lovely food and the owner of the cottage gave us ten old pennies to pay for a bottle of beer each.

The owners are very friendly and made us feel so welcome. The location of their cottage is ideal for visiting the Yorkshire Moors and surrounding area. Heartbeat country is only a few miles up the road. The cottage is like a home from home with facilities on offer that a lot of other Hoseasons properties don't provide ie: towels, t towels, etc. It was very enjoyable and we will book to go again in the future.

It was the perfect base for my family and I to view Yorkshire. The Golf and Tennis just outside our door was perfect for us to just get up and get out and play. We were not disturbed by others playing and using these facilities. Ideal for any one that wants to play sport and not have to travel.

This was our second year at Birdie Cottage, it is very well equipped and clean, and the location is perfect for both coastal and inland venues. Richard and Ruth are very helpful, the golf course was ideal and we played everyday! The enclosed garden was ideal for both the children and dog - we highly recommend this cottage and will visit again in the future!

Birdie Cottage was home from home and very well situated for York, Scarborough, the North Yorkshire Moors and much, much more. Child friendly in every way with a tennis court and ball area. The cottage was very well presented with great owners very close to hand if any problems arised. A well equipped cottage, everything you needed was there, and there is a fantastic pub across the road which is well worth a visit. We will certenly be visiting again - thanks a million to Richard and Ruth for giving us a fantastic cottage with a very warm welcome!

This holiday accommodation is beautiful. It's very comfortable and has extra items added not seen in many other selfcatering holiday accommodations ie towels, toilet rolls, kitchen towels and teatowels are provided. We will definately enjoy another holiday there in the future.
